The cure. Healing
Healing is an installation for the collective exhibition Allí adentro [In There], at Hospital de Dénia, whose purpose is to show the problems regarding hepatitis C in today’s society. Other artists, such as Javier Codesal and Mar Gascó, are also exhibiting their artwork at this show organised and produced by DKV and the Art and Diseases Chair at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Escalona created Healing after a profound experience with hepatitis C patients and the hospital staff during his artistic residency at the Marina Salud Hospital.
La “Cura” es una instalación para la exposición colectiva “Allí adentro”, en el Hospital de Denia, cuyo fin es mostrar la problemática de la Hepatitis C en nuestra sociedad actual. En la muestra, que organiza y producida por DKV y la Cátedra de Arte y Enfermedades de la UPV, participan otros artistas como Javier Codesal y Mar Gascó. La obra ha sido creada tras una vivencia intensa con los enfermos de hepatitis C y con el personal sanitario durante la residencia artística en el Hospital Marina Salud.
